Job Description
Fremont Hospital is a 148 bed acute psychiatric hospital situated in the heart of the bay area in the city of Fremont. We currently seek an experienced behavioral health professional for our Chemical Dependency Therapist opportunity (Per Diem). The Chemical Dependency Therapist reports to the CD IOP Program Manager and works closely with the OPS Director, the physicians and other staff, as indicated, assigned to the Chemical Dependency Program. This employee will work directly with chemically addicted patients participating as an active member of the interdisciplinary treatment planning team; will provide patients with initial integrated, chemical dependency, psychosocial, spirituality assessments, treatment, discharge plans, individual and group drug and alcohol counseling, group therapy and family drug and alcohol education, films/process/assignment and topic discussion groups, seminars and assist with aftercare planning and groups. In addition, he/she will serve as liaison between the program and community support groups attend and participate in continuing education conferences. Employee must maintain chemical dependency credential. Employee must have strong communication, documentation, computer, insurance verification and utilization review skills.
