In this role, you'll be responsible for reviewing, researching, investigating and triaging all types of claims, appeals and grievances. You'll drive the action and communicate with appropriate parties regarding claims issues. In return, we'll provide you with great training, support and opportunities.

This is a challenging role with serious impact. We'll look to you to motivate and empower your team to provide best in class service. You'll need to combine expertise and exceptional claims support with analyzing and researching complex claims.

Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims. Authorizes the appropriate payment or refers claims to investigators for further review. Conducts data entry and re-work; analyzes and identifies trends and provides reports as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise daily / weekly / monthly activities of a team members including setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
  • Coordinate work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, etc.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
  • Provide coaching, feedback and annual performance reviews as well as formal corrective action
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years supervisory / leadership / training experience
  • 3+ years of experience handling simple to complex to catastrophic claims
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and solving problems in an office, claims or customer service environment
  • Nevada Hearing License or the Ability to Obtain Nevada Hearing license within 90 days
  • In depth knowledge of Nevada Workers' Compensation statutes including but not limited to Benefits Calculations, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Compensability
  • Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to travel to offsite locations and Hearings Office
  • Ability to travel minimally, less than 25%.

  • Ability to multi-task including the ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
