Job Description

 

Roxbury Treatment Center is a private 112-bed sub-acute detoxification/rehabilitation and psychiatric center located at the foothills of the scenic Blue Mountains. In our 60-bed chemical dependency unit, detoxification is conducted under close medical supervision. This unit includes our Military Initiative Program designed to treat active military personnel dealt with chemical dependency and mental health issues.  The team of physicians and our around-the-clock nursing staff provide the needed assessment and care. The Recovery Program offers a professional approach to the treatment of chemical dependencies. Our treatment team includes Certified Addictions Counselors, Masters and Bachelors level clinicians, and nurses.

 

 

Roxbury also has an acute psychiatric unit treating individuals with mental illnesses who need short-term hospitalization. This program specializes in treating adult patients who are suffering from co-occurring disorders; mental illness and substance use/abuse issues. Staffed with mental health techs and nurses around the clock, our Chief Medical Officer and psychiatrists oversee this cutting edge psychiatric treatment program.

 

An acute psychiatric unit treating adolescents between the ages of 13 - 17 is currently in operation at Roxbury Treatment Center. Staffed with mental health techs and nurses around the clock, our

Roxbury is currently recruiting a Clinical Coordinator.

The Clinical Coordinator oversees and participates in all patient care functions of Roxbury’s clinical, residential programming, assuring the delivery of high quality services to dually diagnosed/chemically dependent patients. Primary responsibilities include: Providing clinical direction for clinical support staff, primarily on weekend and evening shifts; prioritization and delegation of duties; troubleshooting and crisis management with staff; assuring program shift scheduling and coverage; ongoing program compliance audits; and performing all direct clinical services with patients. The Clinical Coordinator has direct supervision of all counselor aides.

Job Specifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must have equal competence in clinical and shift oversight functioning, and the ability to perform each as needed. Assisting with program development ideas in cooperation with Clinical Supervisor.  The employee may be required to perform job related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

 

 Education And Experience:

  • Bachelor's level or above mental health professional (with a degree in a related mental health discipline from an accredited

                college) with one year full-time experience in a behavioral healthcare facility setting required.

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

 

Knowledge:                         

Must possess knowledge of dual diagnosis/chemical dependency/mental health patients; age-specific patient issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis prevention and intervention techniques; knowledge and comprehension of regulatory agency standards (DOH, DPW, CMS, Joint Commission, etc.); staff development procedures and requirements; ability to communicate orally, telephonically, and in writing; working knowledge of computer systems and various software; must maintain certification CPR, Verbal De-Escalation, and Handle With Care. Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player. Good documentation, organization and time management skills are necessary. Must be effective in decision-making and problem solving.

Physical Requirements:   

Must have physical agility to manage patients. Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping. Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.
