Position Summary:

Stonington Institute began serving recovering alcoholics in 1957 as Starlight Farms, a working farm where adults in recovery were introduced to the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Our main campus is located in North Stonington, CT, in its original private and peaceful rural setting, offering medical detoxification as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military servicemembers.

Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. The clinic is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients.

The Clinical Coordinator assists the Director, Clinical Services in ensuring that a high quality, cost-effective service is delivered by the department, in keeping with the programs’ goals and objectives. The Clinical Coordinator provides direct client care specific to each client’s needs, including evaluation/assessment as well as group, individual and family therapy as indicated. The Clinical Coordinator assures compliance with regulatory, accreditation and facility requirements through monitoring, auditing, and staff supervision, particularly with regard to timeliness and content of documentation. The Clinical Coordinator utilizes information derived from audits to design and implement staff training to improve documentation quality. 


 
Requirements
The Clinical Coordinator must be a licensed therapist with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with adult substance abuse and dual diagnosis populations. One (1) year supervisory experience is required.
