Two Rivers Behavioral Health, a 105-bed acute facility, is a leading provider of behavioral health care in the Kansas City area on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. For over 30 years, the facility has provided 24-hour care for individuals in need.
We currently have a FULL-TIME position available for a CLINICAL COORDINATOR - TRAUMA SERVICES to work with our inpatient populations on our Trauma Services Unit.
The Clinical Coordinator provides oversight, direction and leadership on a designated inpatient unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Two Rivers Hospital. The clinical supervisor is responsible in conjunction with the Director for oversight of programming and execution of all clinical functions on unit including daily clinical tasks, implementation of the trauma program, department social work leadership and supervision of social work activities to include psycho-educational groups and discharge planning. The clinical supervisor will work in conjunction with the Director to ensure that treatment plans are consistent with the model and with regulatory standards. The clinical supervisor will carry a caseload while ensuring the clinicians on the physician led treatment team on the unit perform daily requirements.  The clinical supervisor is willing to provide clinical supervision of students, interns and/or provisionally licensed therapists-if deemed as an appropriate candidate. The clinical supervisor will also oversee the utilization review of all patients involved in the trauma services which will include engaging in direct utilization review. 
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including adolescents, adults, older adults, and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.

Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, from a CSWE accredited program.
Experience:   Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting with a trauma population. Experience and training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, trauma-informed care and other relevant evidence-based trauma-focused interventions & therapies.
Licensure/Certification: Missouri Clinical Social Work License (LCSW), MO licensure required.
Knowledge: Must have knowledge of Trauma specific interventions, trauma informed care principles, leadership skills. 
Supervision Received: Director of Clinical Services
Supervision Exercised:  Clinical staff within the trauma program for the purpose of social work services implementation and discharge planning.
Environmental Conditions:  Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior.  Potential for exposure to communicable disease, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste.  General hospital environment.
Physical Requirements:  Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.  Physical agility to manage patients.  Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.  Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping.  Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen. 
Job Classification:  Exempt:  Hours vary based on staffing and patient needs and include day, evening, and weekend shift.
