Unit Description

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager-Registered Dietitian for John Knox Village, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Tampa, FL. This facility is comprised of 130 Skilled Nursing Beds, 150 Assisted Living & 180 Independent Living residents. This position will manage the clinical program, provide direct clinical nutrition care to the residents and manage Food Service for Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing residents.

 

**This position is estimated to be 60% management responsibilites and 40% clinical.

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Clinical Nutrition Manager will:

 

  • Manage the nutrition care process for the SNF residents and provide nutrition consults to residents as needed.
  • Be an active part of the Food Service management team
  • Supervise 1 dietetic technician
  • Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards.
  • Represent the Food & Nutrition Department as the primary liaison with the medical and nursing staff.
  • Be a Registered & licensed Dietitian. Experience in management and/or foodservice is a plus!
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, high energy and enjoy working with have a passion for driving and improving the resident experience for the seniors we serve.

Position Summary

Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a small - medium account. Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.

Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met.
-May provide direct nutrition care to population served
-Executes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments; and collects and reports outcomes.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services and promotes nutrition services.
-. - Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).
 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
