Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Manager II to come join their dynamic team at Jackson Memorial Hospital. 

 

**This position will oversee 3 facilities; 1 acute care hospital and 2 long term care centers**

 

Jackson South Medical Center is a 230-bed acute-care hospital located in south Miami-Dade County. Jackson South Medical Center, part of Jackson Health System, offers a full spectrum of services and is staffed by nationally respected, board-certified physicians and healthcare professionals who practice a wide array of specialties and subspecialties. Jackson South specialties include: provisional Level II Trauma Center, Digestive Center of Health, Emergency Services, Gastric Sleeve Center for Weight Loss, General and Laparoscopic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Mental Health Services, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Podiatry, Radiation Oncology, Robotic Prostate Surgery, Urology Center of Excellence, Women's Services and Wound Care

 

Jackson Memorial Perdue Medical Center is a long-term-care facility located on a beautiful 11-acre campus in South Dade. The medical center is a licensed, 163-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. We provide care for a diverse cultural population of younger and older adults.

 

Jackson Memorial Long-Term Care Center is a non-profit, 180-bed skilled nursing facility licensed by the state of Florida. JMLTCC is one of two skilled nursing facilities owned and operated by Miami-Dade County, Public Health Trust and Jackson Health System to assist Jackson Memorial Hospital with the timely discharge of patients who cannot be easily discharged from the hospital to home or other community nursing homes.

 

    

Position will report to System Clinical Nutrition Manager and will:

  • Be highly motivated with a minimum of two years of Clinical experience and operational or supervisory experience
  • Provide direction and guidance for the clinical nutrition program establishing the highest caliber standards of care.
  • Responsible for meeting Joint Commission/State/Federal and company standards.
  • Be the primary liaison with the medical team and nursing staff.
  • Oversee a total of 6 Dietitians and provide cross coverage as needed
  • Be self-directed, flexible, hardworking and a team player.
  • Must be eligible for FL licensure
  • Must be a Registered Dietitian.

Position Summary

Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a medium to large account or multiple accounts under one contract in a system. Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.

Key Duties
-Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met.
-May provide direct nutrition care to population served
-Establishes and executes operating standards, implements quality improvements, manages the budget and communicates them to other departments.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services.
-Promotes nutrition services and stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).
-Assists in the development of new business service(s) for the client, regional or national initiatives, projects, and implements the service program(s).

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 1 year

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
