As a Clinical Pharmacist Resident you will conduct research and maintain or enhance clinical pharmacy programs such as drug utilization review, prior authorization, health outcomes, disease state management, care management, and other specialty programs. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Present clinical findings and literature before National Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P & T) committee
  • Oversee pharmacy projects from inception to completion
  • Provide responses to drug information requests
  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others
  • Acts as a resource for others with less experience
  • Contribute to the development of UHCP’s prescription drug list (PDL) and clinical programs through pharmacy analytics and strategic planning
  • Work with a leading analytic team to develop and present claims data analyses that measure outcomes and patterns of medication use
  • Assist with evaluation of pharmacoeconomic and clinical data
  • Promote fact-based and data driven decisions
  • Develop leadership skills
  • Complete outcomes-based research project utilizing large medical and pharmacy claims database
  • Prepare a residency poster to be presented at AMCP’s annual conference
  • Develop and improve project management skills by completing a business strategy project
  • Work with all areas of business to see project through from start to finish
  • Provide medical, practice and industry related information, education, and/or training to staff
  • Participate in the process of contracting with pharmaceutical manufacturers
  • Improve personal and departmental leadership and practice management skills
