Job Description

To provide clinical leadership and to oversee therapeutic services provided to a caseload of residents and their families as determined by the Director of Clinical Services.  Assists in the development of therapeutic culture/programming and facilitates efficient milieu structure and providing supervision as it relates to these areas.  This person will also be responsible for providing clinical supervision to all non-licensed therapists, interns, and direct care staff.  Participate in subsequent treatment planning, risk management assessment and aftercare/discharge planning.  Communicate with direct care staff, clinical staff, treatment teams and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to residents and their families.  The facilitation and fostering of positive relationships with referral sources and other outside agencies is vitally important.  This position will be a member of Performance Improvement Team as well as attend and participate in other meetings as required.  EOE.
 

 

Job Requirements

Requires one of the following LMFT, LPC, or LCSW and training in a recognized mental health field; experience in inpatient setting preferred; written and oral communications skills, skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice.  Knowledge of acute adolescent/child psychological disorders, advanced principals of abnormal psychology as specifically applied to population; familiarity with follow-up resource services available to children; skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.  Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential; must demonstrate the ability to treat other age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization’s cross-training, orientation program. Must have the ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.   EOE.
