Adult Program Manager

The Adult Program Manager has overall responsibility for coordinating, supervising and implementing treatment programs and the delivery of services in an effective manner. Supervises the Mental Health Techs, therapists, milieu coordinators, and assigned interns. Also responsible for the implementation, creation, and adherence to the programming/scheduling for Adult Program. Additionally, the Adult Program Manager is the lead therapist for the Adult Program. The Program Manager carries a caseload depending on clinical need and is responsible for group therapy staff assignments.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Service Excellence - partners with CEO and other department managers in creating a Culture of Service Excellence. Demonstrates understanding, commitment, and accountability for driving Service Excellence results through teams and individuals.
  • Skill-Building - provides employees with specific, accurate, and consistent feedback about performance throughout the year. Identifies growth opportunities for each employee, reviews/revises goals through the year and utilizes the performance evaluation as a corrective tool.
  • Provides clear instruction and workload assignments to clinical staff resulting in effective, efficient daily operations.
  • In collaboration with HR Director, interviews and hires department staff, with the approval of the Program Director.
  • Accountable for FTE management on the Adult Unit and manages overtime.
  • Ensures all shifts are appropriately staffed in advance and works collaboratively with Milieu Coordinators to fill unexpected gaps in coverage.
  • Ensures clinical documentation of all staff members meets facility policy and procedure guidelines.
  • Holds staff accountable for completing annual in-services/certifications and competency tests by required deadlines.
  • Understands and demonstrates knowledge of behavioral management program.
  • Manages Social Service Department providing clear instruction and workload assignments to therapists resulting in effective, efficient daily operations.
  • Provides coverage for Chief Clinical Officer as needed.

 

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related field.
  • Years of experience needed: Three (3) to five (5) years of direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with adults required. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to: abuse reactive, sexual offending, substance abuse, and sexual trauma. Must have knowledge of human development over the life span. Supervision experience required.
  • License/Certification: Current licensure from State of Florida, such as LCSW, LMFT, LMFTI, LMHC or LMHCI required.
  • Skills: Demonstrate leadership, communication, teaching and management skills. Must have knowledge of individual, group and family therapy dynamics and techniques as related to cultural, social, economic, communication and role expectations within family systems. Must have knowledge of clinical skills to assess treatment dynamics accurately and develop effective treatment strategies within the overall treatment plan. Must have a driving record that meets La Amistad Behavioral Health Services policy.
  • Physical Requirements: Minimal. May require response to crisis intervention.
  • Other: Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or Program Director
