Job Description

Position Scope:              Assists in developing the program as well as the specific services of the program.  Assists in providing clinical supervision and oversight of the Clinicians.  Ensures that quality services are provided to the clients.  Provides ongoing training for all staff assigned to the program.

 

Essential Functions:      

 

  1. Must be able to utilize a computer-based system in order to review or approve contact notes.

  2. Must possess knowledge of community resources and how to access such resources; family dynamics; crisis intervention/management; and strong organizational and communication skills.

  3. Must be able to schedule meetings with staff, assigns duties and provides supervision by phone, in the community, and in office.

  4. Full supervision for employees should occur at minimum of 4 hours per month.

  5. Clinical Managers will be expected to be involved in the training of new staff.

  6. Clinical Managers must ensure annual evaluations and treatment plans are completed to the required standards and within the required time frames including providing clinical guidance and completion of any necessary clinical assessments.

  7. Must approve supervisee notes within 48 hours of supervisee submission.

  8. Must ensure that the current EMR is up to date.

  9. Clinical Managers will notify staff and/or client of upcoming need for revised treatment plan or annual assessment with at least 30 day notice period.

  10. Must attend daily Flash meeting

  11. Must attend weekly supervision with supervisor.

  12. Track program enrollment, referrals, waitlists etc. and ensure service delivery and documentation meet outlined guidelines.

  13. Responsible for caseloads of no more than 200 consumers at any given time.

  14. Follow up on schedules for contracted clinicians

  15. Attend any clinical and/or coordination of care meetings that the contracted clinician cannot attend

  16. Follow up on gaps in services and schedules of contracted clinicians to ensure appropriate clinical care is being delivered based on the consumer treatment plan and quality clinical standards

  17. Approve and submit invoices for contracted clinicians in a timely manner

  18. Must Have an LICSW or LPC in DC

  19. Other Duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Must possess knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of family dynamics; crisis intervention skills; skills in clinical supervision of licensed and non-licensed therapists; ability to work well under pressure and under short deadlines; ability to manage multiple cases concurrently; reasonable administrative and coordination skills; understanding of mental health care service delivery; ability to work as part of a team; ability to work autonomously with little or no direction.

 

 

Education:                  Master’s degree in Social Work or related field

 

Licensure/

Certification:              Active LICSW or LPC in the District of Columbia. LICSW strongly preferred.

 

Experience:                 Two or more years’ direct clinical services experience with children, adolescents and /or adults and families. Supervisory experience preferred.
