Videa is rapidly bringing a series of products, services and new technology to the traditional TV media marketplace by building a new automated and data-driven approach to buying & selling linear television advertising. Videa is laser-focused on ensuring our supply side platform is the leading solution for local broadcasters and media buying agencies across the US. 

Videa currently has a need for a Cloud Data Solutions Architect to work as part of a project team who is charged with onboarding and supporting the Videa LLC product in multiple TV stations around the United States

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cloud Data Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and maintaining all aspects of architecture of the cloud data solutions for the Videa Platform. This role will provide key leadership of the transition of the Videa Platform to the cloud. This position will work within the development and architecture teams to ensure consistent application of cloud data solutions best practices and to ensure that all data models and data solutions are designed in a manner that efficiently satisfies business needs and controlling operating costs while working in a cloud environment. This is a pivotal role that carries great responsibility across the future direction of the Videa Platform.  This is a hands on role that will be doing leadership, design and development of cloud data solutions across various parts of the Videa Platform.

PRIMARY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cloud Data Stores
• Define Architecture Best Practices for Cloud Data Solutions and put in place structure to ensure compliance
• Implement appropriate Change Management and Cloud Data Solution Release Management processes
• Plan for future scale and performance needs based upon historical data and projected system growth
• Help with the cost and budget analysis to understand how we control costs of running set of Cloud Based Data Stores

Development
• Own several core data models – across  the various types of cloud data stores
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs for cloud data solutions and build the business cases
• Participate in design and development meetings that require significant adjustments to cloud data stores
• Partner with technical operations and business stakeholders to setup and code the logical and physical data model of cloud data solutions

General
• Trouble-shoot issues in all environments as and when needed
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to all teams, enhancing their understanding of Cloud Data Best Practices and Methods/Techniques

• The expectation is that every technical team member will wear whatever hat is needed at a particular time. This means individuals aiding any part of the technical team in whatever capacity as appropriate for their skillset.

Technology Leadership
• Maintain knowledge of technology trends, standards, and methodologies thru extensive reading and attendance at conferences.
• Participate in future roadmap of the Videa Platform with a focus on the Cloud Data elements.
• Apply the technology thought leadership findings to constantly improve software development process/platforms
• Be able to lead projects and provide guidance to business and technical resources



Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years’ experience as Data Architect
• Extensive experience with different data modeling methods and tools.
• Experience implementing Amazon Web Services Cloud Data Solutions and setting up best practices for AWS Cloud Data Products
• Computer Science or related undergrad
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, COMPETENCIES:
• Strong Understanding Amazon Web Services with a focus on Data Stores and 

Data Movement Tools
o AWS Aurora
o AWS DynamoDB
o AWS Redshift
o AWS ElastiCache
o AWS Elastic Map Reduce (EMR)
o AWS Data Pipeline
o AWS Glue

• High Level Skills in the follow areas:
o SQL Server knowledge from 2008 R2 and up to 2016
o SQL language including the ability to write and debug Stored Procedures
o SSIS for ETL
o Data Warehouse Design

• Experience in the following areas:
o Big Data
o NoSQL Data Stores
o Master Data Systems
o Data Quality Systems
o In Memory Data Systems

• Exposure to Data Vault Concepts a plus
• Solution and delivery oriented with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect required or must be obtained in the first six months in the role.
