What will You do

CSG Operations is seeking an expert Program Manager to effect Software Development Process Transformation. This is a senior individual contributor role. The Program Manager will drive adoption and maturity of Agile Scrum practice, while also deploying standard methodologies of iterative and incremental development to teams using Waterfall or Hybrid development approaches. He/she will recommend process and tool improvements across all dimensions of the software development lifecycle – portfolio and requirements management, development, test, and deployment.

  • You should enjoy a balance of strategic process thinking and “rolling up the sleeves” to resolve tactical issues. You're able to challenge the status quo by demonstrating a willingness to re-invent current processes, and embrace change as a challenge.
  • You should possess ability to make recommendations and inspire change across multiple levels of the organization – from individual engineers & program managers to senior engineering/business leaders. A “self-starter” approach to tackle a range of issues will be critical.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Organize agile planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other scrum-related meetings. You are highly creative and passionate, constantly bringing new ideas and creative solutions.
  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
  • Identify standard methodologies and recommend process improvements across SDLC.
  • Drive adoption of process transformation across CSG Engineering and PM teams
  • You'll champion Agile principles with teamwork, prioritization, visibility and team accountability.
  • Support Product Managers and Engineering team in the operation of the process and use of tools
  • Coach and mentor other team members in our Process Transformation
  • Organize and facilitate planning, review, demo and other meetings as needed
  • Develop documentation and training material, and conduct training/coaching sessions for partners.

The Operations Team enables the success of CSG by driving process development and deployment, program management and business operations initiatives.

Who You Are

Qualifications and desired attributes

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • You're with 5 - 7 years of experience in software development and engineering program management
  • You're expertise is in SDLC; hardware development experience is an added advantage.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • In-depth experience in lifecycle management tools (Rally, Clarity, Jira and others)
  • Prior Experience as an Agile process coach is a plus
  • You're expert in Networking Technology / products and have the ability to understand technical issues at a high level in collaborating with engineers
  • You're great teammate.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Be results driven – hold team members accountable, keep team engaged and on task by working collaboratively in a servant leader manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and work with diverse personality types
  • Superior presentation skills and ability to present ideas and material to partners in the organization
  • Self-confidence to be assertive when taking a position and constructively resolve differences and build consensus among partners
