Role Summary

The Pfizer Consumer Healthcare (PCH) Cluster Medical Lead (CML) is responsible for ensuring oversight of quality medical deliverables within one or more countries (i.e. Singapore/Malaysia/Taiwan/Hong Kong) and is directly responsible for in-country medical deliverables and for managing one or more medical colleagues and/or medical contractors. The CML will implement medical strategies in support of PCH therapeutic areas of interest (e.g. Nutrition, Respiratory, Pain, Personal Care, Gastrointestinal, etc.). Act as an essential contributor to the successful commercialization of PCH products, including key external expert (KEE) engagement and Ad Board facilitation, support the adaptation of professional material suitable for local market, deliver product training to marketing and sales teams, other activities to support product launches - all with alignment to core messaging from Global Medical Affairs. The CML will serve as the medical lead point of contact within the affiliate(s) for all medical activities, plus any issues or questions requiring management input. The CML will collaborate across the broader medical community, including headquarter Global Medical Affairs (GMA) subject matter expert (SME), Regional Medical Affairs (RMA), Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, plus Pfizer enabling functions (local Safety Drug Safety Unit (DSU), Legal, Quality, Compliance, Pharma Medical teams, etc.).

Role Responsibilities

+ Collaborate with GMA product SME to ensure visibility and voice of assigned country/countries in the development of RMA aligned medical-clinical strategies/tactics for competitive advantage

+ Manage and develop assigned medical colleagues and/or medical contractors

+ Provide timely and accurate responses to internal and external medical inquiries about PCH products

+ Medical review and approval of promotional material, local product labels, and medical content of all materials used in the market

+ Deliver product training to sales, marketing, and call center colleagues when required

+ Establish and maintain good relationships with key opinion leader (KOLs) in various roles (e.g. clinical practice, research, advocacy groups, or professional societies, etc.)

+ Coordinate local responses to internal/external issues, in collaboration with GMA to ensure single medical voice for PCH products

+ Implement, manage, and oversee compliance-related activities consistent with corporate policies, procedures, and processes (including: Customer Engagement Programs (CEP) review, promotional material review, training curricula, Your Reporting Responsibilities (YRR), etc.)


BS/BA degree or equivalent in a Life Science (e.g. Medicine, Pharmacy, Nutrition, etc.), advanced degree preferred

Minimum 7 years of experience in medical affairs, regulatory affairs, or other science-related department required

Experience in local pharmaceutical/OTC business, with OTC industry experience preferred
