Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist Director in monitoring the daily functions of coding, DNFB, and workflow
  • Ensure proper workflow and billing of accounts
  • Daily monitoring of billing WIP and appropriate assignments to responsible parties
  • Reply to Patient Account inquiries
  • Monitor chart distribution to coders
  • Perform quarterly audits to monitor trends and accuracy
  • Reconcile the Flag list
  • Monitor analysis queue to keep workflow moving
  • Interact with physicians for delinquent charts
  • Performs monthly delinquent count
  • Assists in completing Physician Suspension
  • Understands and applies all processes and procedures of the HIM Department
  • Assists in all special projects and other areas as needed
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 5+ years of experience in HIM Department
  • Knowledge of Horizon Patient Folder (EMR)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
  • Coding Certification
