What You'll Do

You will support Cisco’s Collaboration relationship with a large US National Partner. The role of Partner Business Development Specialist will report to the Director of Architectures for Americas Partner Organization. The primary focus of this role is to develop and lead the Collaboration go-to-market strategy (GTM) that is executed with this partner. You will have primary responsibility for the development and ongoing support of the following key business initiatives between this US Partner and Cisco: executive relationships, practice building, field alignment/engagement, partner enablement, partner profitability, sales training, pipeline development, opportunity identification (sales mentoring, strategic sales calls, outbound calling etc.), marketing and demand generation, and coordination of cross-functional activity.

You can demonstrate an ability to excel within a team environment. The ability to develop and sustain virtual teams is essential. You should exhibit strong sales skills, critical thinking, and leadership skills.

Who You'll Work With

You will have tight alignment with the Operations Director assigned to each partner along with the other PBDS, GTM leads and Technical leads on the Americas Partner Architecture team. In addition, they will work independently across many of the Cisco functional areas: partners, direct sales, business unit, strategic alliances and marketing.

Who You Are

Minimum 10 years industry experience working with partners/reseller channels on building practices and driving business

Partner sales, business development, and marketing experience working with US reseller partners with respect to Cisco Collaboration Architecture

  • Deep understanding of the Cisco Collaboration Architecture
  • Knowledge of overall IT industry including Data Center, Collaboration, and Security market trends
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial background in developing ROI and TCO justifications
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to work closely across both sales and technology groups
  • Excellent written communications and presentation skills
  • Excellent collaboration skills, especially including the ability to effectively lead virtual meetings
  • Ability to set priorities and then create and execute a business plan to produce measurable results
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Direct sales experience in the Collaboration arena
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
  • Performs well under tight deadlines
  • Executive presence with the ability to work at multiple levels within a partner
  • Flexibility to work across multiple time zones
  • Up to 30% Travel Required
