Cox Automotive is seeking a Commercial Business Partner to join the Client Success team in Atlanta, GA.

This position reports to the Director, Commercial Business Partners.  In this role, you will be responsible for consolidating and analyzing expenses across Client Success, and providing consolidated results in support of the Commercial Business Partner Team. 

From an analytical perspective, your success in this role will be determined by the ability to distill external reference points along with internal data to identify, communicate and help implement data driven recommendations to improve business performance. In practice this means the Analyst will have the analytical and abstract reasoning skills to synthesize complex and detailed data and information into meaningful insights.  Your success in the role will also be defined by the degree to which the CBPs view the speed and accuracy of analysis, and ultimately the degree to which the analysis enables the CBP and Client Success team to meet deadlines and make fact-based decisions.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Prepare critical recurring and ad-hoc financial and operational analysis
  • Aggregate, parse and analyze financial data from various systems to provide recurring reporting support to Commercial Business Partner Team
  • Assist with close, forecast, and variance analysis on a monthly basis, provide consolidated results to Director, CBP
  • Identify and Investigate challenging data characteristics, complexity, quality and meaning within financial and operational data
  • Define and track performance, including identification of trends, outliers and drivers through visualization and summarizations
  • Perform monthly variance analysis on expenses incurred and provide recommendation to the team
  • Manage and build analysis to track professional services/expense invoices for Client Success teams
  • Work with the Commercial Business Partners and other internal teams to support the annual budget and long range plan process, targets and initiatives
  • Responsible for building models to assess the impact of strategic plans and initiatives
  • Partner with Data team to review and define financial and sales performance data requirement, investigate inaccuracies


Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in financial, pricing or marketing analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting
  • Outstanding analytical skills and a high degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Knowledge of Hyperion and/or database applications such as Oracle/SAP
  • Fluent in the Microsoft suite particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Ability to operate and work across functional groups in a matrixed organization
  • Experience with and comfortable with monthly and weekly deadlines
  • Energetic, resourceful and hands-on individual with a strong bias for action
  • Strong communication skills and can present their views in a clear and compelling manner - ability to explain financials to various audiences at different organizational levels

Preferred:

  • Technology, financial/banking or professional services sector experience
  • Knowledge of sales enablement and measurement tools, such as SalesForce a plus
