Description **ROLE SUMMARY**

Internal: Responsible for implementing PGS Sanford's communication strategy. Execute internal communications projects /programs, materials, publications and website content.

External: Engage with key external stakeholders to help improve the reputation of the site. Following direction of Sr. Manager Site Communications, coordinate events involving engagement of identified stakeholders within the community e.g. schools, nonprofits.


+ This role is primarily responsible for colleague communications at the Sanford site. The incumbent will create content that is aligned with the site's communication strategy and at the direction of the Sr. Manager Site Communications. The role creates content and is responsible for maintaining/improving the key colleague communications vehicles: website, newsletters, plasma screens, and posters. The incumbent will assist with execution of more strategic communications vehicles like all-hand meetings and site visits.

+ Following the direction of Sr. Manager Site Communications, the incumbent will:

• Resource mgmt. and teamwork: execute communication projects for the Sanford site to agreed timelines and develop project plans for own projects

• Knowledge and Skills: Develop strong knowledge base for the role of communications associate within Biotech, PGS and Pfizer; Develop strong understanding of communications role through continuous learning mindset and attitude; Continuously acquire new skills that increases scope of communication associate role; Develop an awareness for role communications associate plays in linking site to Pfizer strategy and goals; Apply innovation techniques and tool kit to role

• Decision making and autonomy: Resolve problems without direct supervision e.g. approach to communication; Have a good understanding of policies and guidelines for role of communications associate; Act and deliver solutions in ambiguous situations; Deliver monthly milestone of communications strategy

• Leadership: Execute the site communications strategy; Support communications lead by executing above-site initiatives (e.g. Lead OWNIT day planning, Annual Giving Campaign); Lead teams and activities (e.g. setting direction with cross functional team); Key colleague as a participant on many site teams/activities (e.g. community giving team, all-hands meetings, site visits/tours).


+ Bachelor's degree required

+ 3 plus years relevant experience in writing , editing and project management support

+ Well organized, creative, independent and self-motivated individual with exceptional presentation, written and oral communication skills

+ Strong project management skills , the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively , and respond to timelines

+ MS Office required, highly skilled in PowerPoint

+ Experience with photography, video production and editing, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign strongly desired

+ Experience with graphic design, Microsoft SharePoint and SharePoint designer desired


• Must be able to lift packages at least 25 lbs in weight


• Some requirement for limited travel
