What You'll Do

  • You will lead the refinement of a communications strategy that connects the global organization internally and gives CPS the presence that resonates with our organizational priorities externally.
  • You will own the execution of said strategy by partnering with others in delivery, as well as rolling up your sleeves and getting things done.
  • You will define our ongoing web presence internally and externally.
  • You will develop CPS collateral that communicates CPS strategy, goals, and accomplishments to be used with internal and external audiences.
  • You will be a subject matter expert of CPS operating for the business and responsible for crafting and maintaining subject-based messages and content on an ongoing basis.
  • You will establish an engagement model with the executive and executive team to actively handle communications work.
  • You will define measures for communication effectiveness and reports quarterly.
  • You will develop and document repeatable and scalable content development and project management processes that increase overall team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You will create / edit content ensuring audience appropriateness, high quality and timely delivery while staying budget conscious, and creating compelling content in support of communications strategy that is consistent with Cisco and CPS goals.
  • You will work directly with internal / external graphic partners to develop effective collateral.

Who You Will Work With

Customer and Partner Services (CPS), is the operational execution hub for Cisco. We deliver globally consistent end-to-end Customer and Partner Services with stakeholder intimacy at scale in a digitized world. We lead the effort in operationalizing new offers and are committed to operational excellence.

This role is within the Executive Operations organization, part of Strategy & Planning. This team is the central point for connecting the entire organization from Executive Leaders to new hires. We work with our Senior Leadership team in delivering the CPS charter in all of our activities. These include: planning and facilitating leadership sessions, developing and delivering a cohesive learning & development strategy, leading our recruitment strategy, and promoting overall employee engagement. We will do this by driving organizational awareness, leading global corporate initiatives, and being a central hub connecting CPS.

Who You Are

  • You are able to demonstrate innovative use of communications (i.e. snapshots, postcards, video, web based, etc.)
  • You are aware of and able to partner with CPS SLT for external engagements ensuring messaging is consistent and that final collateral is shared with all leaders.
  • You are a strong collaborator and problem solver. You partner well across constituents and organizations. You welcome feedback.
  • You have a proven track record of advising/working directly with executives.
  • You have strong communication skills and can verbally articulate goals and objectives especially well.
  • You possess excellent research, writing, and presentation/PowerPoint skills.
  • Social media channel experience
  • You can meet deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
  • Experience working in a diverse and matrix organization

Role Requirements & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or related.
  • 5-8 years of internal / external communication, marketing communications, or related experience
  • PR/media agency or executive communications experience preferred
  • Video script development and production experience
