Primary Responsibilities:

  • Remediate impacts to our members as they occur to provide a member-focused response, with a focus on personalizing the member’s experience working with the health plan.
  • Solves for member impact issues, both the immediate impact as well as working with appropriate departments to solve for the root cause.
  • Proactively leverage market research, customer feedback, and data analytics to identify and quantify opportunities to support and educate on Health Plan product and service offerings.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to build innovative strategies, and implement projects and communications to reduce the effects of pain points for members and the business.
  • Determine and implement opportunities to provide an insured member an appropriate real-time, next best action based on data and their unique experience.
  • Incorporate language of caring and plain language best practices into all communications.
  • Leverage market research, customer feedback and data analytics to enhance customer understanding and determine opportunities.
  • Build and nurture relationships with our community outreach specialists, sales teams, internal business partners and others to help support and deliver on our commitment to help make the health care system work better for our health plan members.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) or a High School Diploma / GED with 5+ years of experience in Marketing or Customer Service.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing direct marketing and / or member communications that deliver positive and measurable results
  • Experience developing and implementing initiatives that drive improvements in customer satisfaction, desired behaviors, and customer retention
  • Access to reliable transportation travel within North Carolina throughout the month, interacting with consumers, providers and community organizations (50%)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience healthcare or other highly-regulated industry
  • Experience with educating seniors and those with complex medical conditions, along with organizations that work with same, on a managed care health plan’s benefits and services.
  • Project Management experience
