The Maintenance Technician will be required to maintain and support general maintenance within the building along with troubleshooting. The maintenance technician is required to physically perform duties required for all aspects of building which include maintenance, repairs and/or improvements. This Technician is required to work with other maintenance staff to ensure that maintenance tasks are performed in a safe and timely manner.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities include:

  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing maintenance services as needed and/or assigned; assisting in various maintenance activities and addressing immediate operational safety concerns. Technicians will also perform tests, inspections and preventive maintenance of facility equipment with minimal supervision. Technicians will take rotation on call duties when working a full time position.

Position Requirements:

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • A two year technical or trade school/technical coursework or Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years work experience in hospital and/or healthcare facility.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software.
  • Performs a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and to troubleshoot, repair and replace parts in equipment throughout the hospital.
  • Ability to move continuously in required in completion of job requirements.
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, run, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, push, pull and twist.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds may be required without assistance.
  • Ability to work under any weather conditions, inside or out, without regard for temperatures any time of the day or night.
