FRN is currently seeking a Compliance and Risk Manager, to be responsible for implementing and managing all policies, programs and services, relating to compliance, risk and privacy, in adherence with state and federal regulatory requirements, as directed by both corporate and facility leadership, in order to provide a safe environment for all patients, guests and interested parties, by minimizing/eliminating exposure.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to inspire our clients’ confidence in both our staff and the FRN Model of Treatment. Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Updates, maintains and enforces all UHS compliance and privacy policies
  • Oversees facility compliance program
  • Works directly with UHS Risk Manager and Compliance Officer regarding facility risk and compliance concerns and issues
  • Supervisors Risk staff and ensures all UHS Risk reports are completed correctly and submitted on time
  • Supervisors Privacy staff and enforces Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and reports all compromised Protected Health Information (PHI) to UHS
  • Completes Patient Safety Council (PSC) training and becomes a member of PSC in good standing
  • Works with Director of Operations and preparing for monthly PSC meeting and uploads minutes by the 10th of each month


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must have familiarity with state/local requirement for licensures, HIPPA regulations and CARF accreditation procedures.
  • Must have proficiency in compliance, quality, and risk management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must have strong presentation skills.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills.Position continually requires demonstrated poise, professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to pay continual attention to detail.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage people which includes planning, decision making and facilitating process improvements; takes responsibility for subordinates’ activities; makes self available to staff and provides regular performance feedback.
  • Exercise good judgment and successfully handle ambiguity.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with all internal/external interface points.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
  • Demonstrated experience developing Excel spreadsheets, managing and preparing budgets, familiarity with insurance billing and revenue generation in a treatment setting, etc.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive operations and management experience required.Multi-facility and/or multi-department experience is highly preferred.
  • Behavioral Healthcare experience strongly preferred.


Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to travel to multiple, local locations
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent bending and kneeling.
  • Constant use of computer requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Ability to read, write and analyze detailed and complex information.
  • Minimal overnight travel required.
  • Due to the 24/7 operational demands, must be available after normal working hours and on holidays to manage emergencies that may arise.
