**ROLE SUMMARY**



The position of Computer Application Support is an individual contributor role which, under direct supervision, is responsible for System Administration and computer support for SLS specific software applications, primarily located Parsippany, NJ and Groton, CT. The incumbent must have fundamental knowledge of ERES (21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11), GMP's, data integrity principles and the ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures. He/She should have an ability to make basic decisions in a compliant manner and ability to organize their own work to meet project task deadlines. The colleague must have an understanding of computerized systems and a quality mindset with an understanding of customer satisfaction.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



Primary responsibilities include System Administration for laboratory computer applications and PC Equipment within Scientific and Laboratory Services (SLS) at Parsippany, NJ and Groton, CT (with possible support to Lake Forest, IL and/or Kalamazoo, MI as needed). Using established processes and tools, this role will support SLS's Electronic Records and Electronic Signature assessments/remediation, troubleshooting technical issues, software (re)-qualification, computer system periodic reviews, system audit log review and verification testing of the NuGenesis system. The Computer Application Support colleague may also participate as a back-up for Empower 3 project creations and LACE box management. This colleague will be required to communicate to key stakeholders of all system maintenance work. The colleague must ensure the change controls properly document the work and that the work being performed is completed in a compliant fashion consistent with Pfizer Quality Standards and Standard Operating Procedures.







**QUALIFICATIONS**







+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Science or similar technical field, 2-4 years of related experience and/or 0-2 years with an advanced degree (e.g. M.S.).



+ Strong written and oral communication skills.



+ Fundamental knowledge and literacy in Empower 3, NuGenesis, QTS, Microsoft office or equivalent programs, familiarity with document management systems and databases.



+ Familiarity with GMPs and CFR 21 Part 11 regulations (Electronic Records and Electronic Signature) and software IQ/OQ/PQ requirements.



+ Ability to work as part of a team in a cross site support model with colleagues of diverse backgrounds.



+ Ability to work independently but with a regular review of work, complete work within reasonable timelines and to a high quality standard.



+ Ability to commit to the Pfizer Values & work in a regulated environment.







**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



Travel to different SLS locations might be required 20% max.
