The Consulting Security Engineer - Advanced Malware Protection- will be responsible for Pre-Sales Advanced Malware Protection technologies and associated services into their named account list. The CSE must be startup oriented and have what it takes to 'get things done' in order to grow our AMP line of business. This is achieved by working with our Internal Cisco “Channel” of 17,000 strong as well as traditional partner channels.






• Teaming with their Security Sales counterpart also focused on the Advanced Malware Protection Architecture to exceed sales targets 

• Building and executing on a business plan with Sales Counterpart for the region to maximize revenues specifically including marketing activities to generate awareness and demand for Cisco’s Advanced Malware Protection technologies.

•  Working with Product Management and Development to ensure future solutions meet customer requirements and address current in field obstacles.

• Analyzing and technically qualifying sales opportunities

• Responding to bids and tenders 

• In depth product presentations, demonstrations and management of prospect evaluations.

• Selecting and training channel partners to service sales opportunities. 

• Articulating the high-level benefits of the full AMP solution set to our target audiences (typically senior security management up to CISO) 

• Teaming with Cisco account teams, authorized Distributors, VARs and ISP’s on sales opportunities leveraging their capabilities to best effect

• Highly motivated self starter that does not need day-to-day management

• 8+ years in a comparable pre-sales position supporting the pre-sales cycle in IT Security solutions

• Experienced Security Engineer with at least a minimum of 5 to 7 years of security sales.

• Degree or equivalent qualification 

• 5 years experience specifically with Endpoint security technologies

• Solid understanding of windows internals

• Working knowledge of computer architecture (File IO, Process, Memory, etc.)

• Working knowledge of the broader threat landscape and the ability to distill technology trends, and explain complex behaviors in simple terms

• Excellent presentation and commercial communication skills at all levels

• Interpersonal skills (building relationships in the technical community in the channel)

• Must be flexible and willing to travel extensively throughout the assigned geography, plus less frequent trips outside the geography

• Proven track record of managing and winning technical high value IT security projects

• Successful quota achievement



• Experience of working with channel partners and systems integrators

• Previously worked at a security vendor

• Working knowledge of digital forensic analysis and incident response.

• Working knowledge of cryptography principles
