Who You'll Work With

Cisco seeks a Consulting Systems Engineer to join our Cisco Spark Connected Device and Pervasive Video sales team. Our team provides guidance and assists account teams building next generation video collaboration solutions that fundamentally change the way teams communicate. In this position, you will be working with technology experts to help them position the solution effectively against competing offerings. Job requirements would include deep technical knowledge of Cisco’s collaboration product portfolio, excellent customer facing skills, strategic mindset and preferably baseline knowledge in app development and API use. What You'll Do

You will maintain a broad knowledge of the business economics and trends of the industries and vertical markets in which one's customers conduct business and knowledge of how Cisco solutions add financial and strategic value.

  • Provide high-level and detailed consultative solutions
  • Technical and sales support for major account opportunities
  • Understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements
  • Understand and articulate Cisco's Collaboration Architectures and Vision
  • Facilitate better communications and understanding of customer requirements between customers, corporate and the field
  • Create, present and document technical solutions
  • Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects
  • Drive identified major account opportunities (i.e. technical consulting, upper level management presentations, Cisco technology solutions, product requirements, and design validation)
  • Viewed as a leader by senior management, peers, partners, company and customers
  • Publish best practice guides and documentation on given topics for internal or external use.
  • Up to 30% travel for major opportunity engagement

Who You Are

You have sound knowledge of telecommunications and internetworking technology. You have a demonstrated ability to accurately perceive customer and internal relationships as well as an intense desire to turn negatives into positives on behalf of Cisco.

  • You have experience with value messaging and management, sales skills/experience, driving strategic change/improvements for customer and Cisco
  • You excel at process development, consulting or technical services experience required
  • You're skilled in leadership and influence of virtual, cross-functional teams, with program management, and quality management experience preferred
  • You have a proven track record with diversified customer relationship development and interface management
  • You're skilled at escalation and issue management and managing customer expectations
  • Education or equivalent experience: 4 year Engineering, Computer Science, or Business degree.
