What You'll Do

Global Procurement Services is responsible for the procurement of all Cisco indirect goods and services enterprise wide. We serve as the Supply Chain Manager and Procurement arm for all non-production spend with primary responsibility of delivering best in class procurement services, contracts and supply base capabilities.The Contract Negotiation position will play a critical role in providing end to end contract execution/approval process within Cisco. 

In this role you will draft, negotiate and close a wide variety of complex contracts focusing on Services and Services Supply Chain under limited supervision. Identify contract risks and issues, provide solutions and/ or engage other subject matter experts to help resolve open risks and issues. Ensure that final agreement terms and conditions are consistent with playbook guidelines, mitigates corporate risk and in the best interest of Cisco. Affirm that agreements accurately reflect Cisco's policies, code of ethics and complies with business unit's objectives. Provide contract administration including obtaining contract approval, electronic signature, filing, tracking and reporting.

Who You'll Work With

You will interface with all levels of management and cross functional teams to successfully close on project contracts. A successful candidate will directly support the Director of Contracts and Business Services for this challenging position in the Bay Area. As we continue are transformation journey with Connected Contracts, your contributions will be critical to help lead the way for change.

Who You Are

You will have a strong understanding of contract formation, terminology, and negotiations with the ability to explain advantages and risks of alternative contract positions including terms and pricing. You have acumen in prioritizing work load and competing client requests in a global work environment and ability to analyze issues and determine who needs to be consulted for best results and outcome. You have knowledgeable of industry changes, trends and key issues. Ensures that internal business practices mirror industry-standard best practices. You are a strong communicator at all levels using a variety of media. You have demonstrated ability to work independently under minimal direction. And proven ability to lead and influence others across a virtual team especially in contract review and negotiations.

Minimum requirements
* 5-7 years of experience or more in reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts 
* Strong familiarity with standard contract templates and Statements of Works
* Demonstrated ability to understand and successfully resolve legal and business issues typically encountered in a services environment.
* Proven ability to lead or work in cross-functional teams in a dynamic global work environment under limited supervision
