The Individual Life Contract & Prospectus area is charged with the task of developing and filing contract forms and prospectuses for new, revised and re-priced individual life insurance products and benefits and other regulatory requirements. The Contract & Prospectus area is part of Product Solutions in the Individual Life Insurance organization.






The primary responsibilities of this position will include:



·         Preparation and submission of contract forms and filings via SERFF, with the state departments of insurance and Interstate Compact.  Preparation and coordination of required certifications, checklists and other materials required for filing submissions.



·         Preparation of correspondence to respond to objection letters from the departments of insurance and Interstate Compact.



·         Research state insurance regulations and Interstate Compact standards for drafting state specific contract language.



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to understand complex technical material;


  • Strong analytical and research skills;


  • Results-oriented with strong project management skills;


  • Strong interpersonal and team skills; and ability to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds and abilities;


·     Ability to work independently and with management to define, plan and execute complex projects;



·     Proficiency in MS Word and Excel and Adobe software;



  • Product development experience and/or detailed product knowledge would be a plus, but not required;


  • Previous filing experience using SERFF, and knowledge of regulatory requirements and related industry standards for the state departments of insurance and Interstate Compact would be a significant plus.
