Job Description

The clinician is responsible for providing prevention, early intervention, and treatment services to assigned clients. The clinician will be based in a school environment but will be expected to visit and meet with clients and collateral contacts within the community setting. The Clinician will be responsible for developing a referral based, enrolling new consumers, and ensuring clinical service delivery for their case load.

Education:                  Master's Degree in Allied Health

 

 

Licensure/

Certification:              Active licensure in the District of Columbia (LGSW, LGPC, LICSW, LPC)

 

Experience:                 Two years working experience in a clinical field with at-risk youth preferred. Must possess a valid driving license and insurance and reliable transportation. Must possess knowledge of community resources and how to access such resources; family dynamics; crisis intervention/management; and strong organizational and communication skills.

 

Physical

Requirements:            While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or fell and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Have the ability to navigate around the community.
