  • Unit Description

    Sodexo currently has a job opportunity for a Unit Controller- Multi Location to support our HealthcareSystem in Little Rock, Arkansas.

     *This is for a Potential Sale* 

    This position is an in unit position that will support 6 accounts’ Foodservice departments, with the possibility of additional services in the future .The Unit Controller will  have the responsibility for financial analysis and flash reporting for multiple locations, account reconciliation, unit controls, some A/P and A/R processes. This position will also assist District Managers in budget process; forecast existing business analytics, and may work on related special projects as needed.

    The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of IFRS policies and procedures as well as familiarity with company accounting processes. Must have strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in finance-related computer applications. Must be able to identify key factors affecting the financial performance of Cost Centers and Districts and use financial data to accurately diagnose business realities; ability to train managers on the financial systems; identify key issues and assist GMs in developing strategies and plans.
     
    In addition, this position will require a flexible candidate with stellar communication skills, a strong sense of urgency and high attention to detail.  The ability to stay organized and work independently is a must. Multi-unit, high volume financial experience is required.

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Degree in business, finance, or accounting
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong action achievement-oriented work history
    • Ability to prioritize and maintain core responsibilities and accountabilities
    • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and projects
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Extensive use of computer applications; Excel, BI-query, SAP, PowerPoint
    • Experience with Sodexo systems: UFS & Evision
    • Ability to accumulate, evaluate, interpret data from computer applications
    • Willingness to put in the necessary time to complete tasks on schedule
    • Previous Contract-Management experience a plus

     Additional Responsibilities:

    • Prepare & present; analysis & reports in support of operations General Managers and District Managers
    • Work with Buffalo Accounting to resolve any inaccuracies on financial reports and assisting in translating & interpreting to GMs any contract changes or other changes to; accounting, policy, and procedure

    Position Summary

    Manages all accounting and financial matters for either a large multi-size national account OR a large complex single location account
    Key Duties
    - Data Collection from field - data review, analysis and suggestion of process improvement, review of FSC spot audits, accounts receivable review, review of new business,

    - Oversight and direction of annual budgeting process & oversight and direction of period close process for all sites for Sodexo and Client, creation and maintenance of area forecasts, oversight of Project Clear compliance for portfolio.

    - Financial Training and development of Sodexo General Managers.
    - Creation, delivery & presentation of client specific financial reports as needed
    - Oversight, training and support of POS systems and other cashless technology

    -Train other controllers, analysts and field in contract interpretation, accounting procedures, system applications, and other areas

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

    Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
