Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a Joint Commission approved and state licensed facility for 88 beds, which includes pediatric units, adolescent girls, adolescent boys, and MISA (Mental Illness Substance Abuse) unit. Lincoln Prairie provides treatment to children and adolescents (ages 3-17) that present with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Lincoln Prairie offers an array of outpatient programs. We provide educational programs, enhanced Occupational Therapy services, Recreational Therapy, Art and Music Therapy, Pet Therapy, while utilizing a holistic treatment approach. We are seeking a Cook to prepare evening meals for patients and facility staff in accordance with approved menu cycles and production sheets, provide assistance to the morning cooks for lunch service preparation; assists the Consultant Dietitian with preparing for special functions and other special events that may occur.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must have two (2) years experience in quantity cooking and basic knowledge of modified diets.
  • experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Training in food services sanitation and active food service sanitation certificate is required
  • must be self motivated, results-oriented individual who is customer focused
