Job Description

Centennial Peaks Hospital is a 104 bed hospital located in beautiful Louisville, CO. We are dedicated to providing a full range of mental health and chemical dependency services to the state of Colorado. We strive to enhance the mental health, safety and well-being of our patients, their families, and the community at large by providing ethical, compassionate, medically and psychologically integrated inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for psychiatric and addiction disorders. The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment is critical.

Starting rate of pay: $14.00+/hour based on experience

The cook participates in the provision of quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff and guests in accordance with established policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital. Must have availability for every weekend, evenings and some holiday's.   Hours include: 9:30am-6pm

Prepares meals as outlined on the menu prepared by supervisor. 
Effectively operates food preparation equipment to fry, boil, roast, bake, broil, mix, and assemble food items. 
Follows recipes and directions as indicated. 
Prepares "special diet" meals as indicated. 
Prepares food for special functions. 
Follows sanitary guidelines as established by supervisor and regulatory agencies. 
Washes dishes, trays, and utensils promptly and thoroughly. 
Washes tables and dinning adequately area after meals as assigned. 
Sweeps and mops kitchen as necessary. 
Promptly removes trash as assigned. 
Adequately performs other cleaning activities as assigned by dietary supervisor.

Job Requirements

Looking for a experienced cook to work 9: 30am-6pm weekdays and weekends.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position.

Education: Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Prefer prior dietary experience in a hospital, health care, or hospitality setting. 

Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of equipment usage including (not an all-inclusive list): stoves, ovens, steamer, fryer, grill, electric mixer, dish washing machines, microwave, food charts.
