Advanced resources such as certified trauma care support TMC's role as a regional specialty center:  The Coordinator of Risk Management/Quality Assurance will direct the process of establishing a comprehensive and integrated performance improvement program which meets regulatory standards for both the hospital and the PHP/IOP components.  She/he will strive to emphasize an organization-wide approach in regards to continually meeting and/or exceeding licensing and accreditation standards, in order to deliver quality care and cost-effective treatment.  She/he will direct the process of establishing a comprehensive and integrated performance improvement program which meets regulatory standards for both the Behavioral Health Center and the PHP/IOP components. 

Job Requirements

Degree in nursing, social work, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field required.

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric inpatient facility with knowledge of high risk areas. 

Experience in developing and adhering to quality measures strongly preferred.

Knowledgeable of hospital operations, risk identification, assessment and reduction.  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.  Ability to assess the special needs of adult and geriatric psychiatric patients.  Directing performance improvement and risk management activities in a hospital, psychiatric hospital, or mental health treatment setting preferred.  Knowledgeable regarding Joint Commission accreditation standards.  Experience interpreting state and federal standards related to hospital operations.
