Provides senior coordination and management of activities for External Science & Innovation (ES&I) colleagues located in EU currently Amsterdam, Cambridge & London with projects based in Dublin, Basel and key interaction with dotted line colleagues based in Sweden, Norway, France & Germany.

The ES&I team is an externally-focused, global based scientific team of high profile PhDs/MDs driving external partnerships, collaborations and acquisitions across selected therapeutic areas and in academia. The EU Coordinator will maintain a thorough knowledge of ES&I team function, remit, goals and priorities and nurtures and supports relationships with the ES&I existing external partners and potential external partners. In addition, the position requires an understanding of the strategic business objectives of Pfizer's Worldwide R&D and ES&I global and regional organizations. Prioritizes, coordinates, and partners well with ES&I team to execute and accomplish business objectives productively.


Provides senior level administrative and process support to ES&I scouting heads for EU based, biotech, venture capital firms, academic institutions and pharmaceutical organization partners .

Coordinates interactions with external companies and academic institutions, providing the point-of-contact to internal and external business partners and supporting the outreach, meetings and events.

Schedules and coordinates internal on-site meetings, external meetings, partners and collaborates with Planning manager on major conferences, including BIO-EU, spring and fall, roadshows to key EU cities and site visits.

Anticipates conflicts and needs and partners effectively with all colleagues to achieve meeting objectives. Provides calendar management, schedules international travel and visas; T&E reports for three principals, updating team members on Pfizer processes and procedures.

Supports logistics and planning for external partnering events and initiatives, off-site team EU meetings and other special projects as assigned and travels to and attends meetings as directed.

Business-savvy, experienced, fast-paced, technically astute, pro-active team player with top skill set, judgment and fluid work capability, comfortable with change and evolution;

Demonstrates superior knowledge of and skills with specific and commonly used Office software (e.g., MS Office, Excel, Power Point) and expert knowledge of Pfizer specific processes (e.g., T&E, SAP, Kairos and other Pfizer IT platforms, etc.);

In conjunction with Pfizer Compliant Meeting and Controls, follows process and procedure for HCP consultants, advisors, and meeting participants;

Keeps current on all trainings and upgrades;

Uses appropriate discretion in the management of information and manages confidential Pfizer information in a professional manner;

Models Pfizer Values and Leader Behaviors and OWN IT culture;


+ Bachelor's degree preferred;

+ Fifteen + years senior level administrative experience /project manager/meeting planning required;

+ Medical, science or pharmaceutical experience is a plus;

+ Excellent skills required in project managements, electronic management of records, communications, planning, time management and follow up.

+ Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written;

+ Strong cross-functional teamworking capabilities.
