What You'll Do
You will be part of a fast-moving, highly impactful, collaborative legal team. You’ll structure commercial partnerships, negotiate and draft a wide variety of agreements, and counsel business partners on a wide variety of issues. Entrepreneurial by nature, you will have immediate impact with your analytic rigor, business judgment, and ability to get things done. In this role you will be the primary legal partner to several of our Collaboration business teams:

*Structuring, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of purchase agreements, licenses and other software transactions, both domestic and international
Advising business development teams on initial stages of product launch
* Managing internal projects, trainings, processes, and drive cross-functional efforts to successful completion
* Partnering with other legal subject matter experts to provide legal counseling on intellectual property, privacy, federal and state regulations, competition and channel issues
* Supporting contract negotiators on customer-facing and supplier-facing transactions as a subject matter expert.

You will work with an energetic and innovative team of attorneys, and provide support to a recently acquired Collaboration start-up as well as supporting other Cisco collaboration offers and partners. Who You Are
We are looking for a solutions-driven and talented attorney with software licensing experience to join our exciting team as Corporate Counsel. The ideal candidate has a sharp business focus, and is proactive, decisive, and highly collaborative. You have excellent interpersonal, communication and drafting skills and the ability to synthesize complex issues and influence and lead across functions.

Our minimum requirements for this role:
* 4+ years of relevant legal, in-house and law firm experience
* Ability to understand complex contractual issues, assess risk, and provide concise, plain English, business-focused legal advice
* Extensive background in software licensing (SaaS experience a plus), commercial transactions, drafting agreements, and intellectual property
* Experience advising clients on a broad range of legal and contractual issues impacting business transactions, with a track record of building business relationships and gaining trust of internal clients
* Excellent judgment and the ability to craft creative solutions
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure; ability to self-start and lead projects
* Experience working across multiple internal business organizations (eg. Finance, Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Operations etc.)
* Sound business judgment and exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
* JD with strong academic record required. Bar admission in good standing.
