Job Description

Lowell Treatment Center is a 41-bed facility located in the Solomon Mental Health building near Lowell General Hospital in Lowell MA.  We offer inpatient and partial hospitalization (PHP) for adolescents and adults.  As part of Universal Health Services (UHS), we offer a wide range of employee benefits and educational opportunities to both reward and grow our dedicated employees.

Lowell Treatment Center is looking for a Full Time Community Services Coordinator to assist patients in our community.  As part of the Massachusetts Child Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), we provide community-based mental health services to families through two programs:  (1) Therapeutic Mentoring (TM) – a Bachelor’s level counselor works 1:1 with a child, age 3 – 20, to help improve their social, communication and daily living skills; and (2) In-Home Therapy (IHT) – a Master’s level and a Bachelor’s level clinical team provide intensive (2x/week), in-home family therapy with the goal of improving the overall functioning within the home.   Candidates are cross-trained in both disciplines.

Who You Are:

  • You possess a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a Human Services field.
  • You have at least one year of related experience.
  • You thrive in a fun, fast paced work environment.
  • You enjoy the flexibility of working non-traditional hours (afternoons, after school hours, evenings).
  • You possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Successful individuals in this position are organized, possess strong time management skills, can work independently and take the initiative to solve problems.  The positive attitude and ability to be flexible to the needs of your clients will be among your greatest assets in this role.
