What you’ll do

 

External

 

Create, leverage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the country/segment leadership team including sales, channels, architectures, sales finance and SE leaders

Participate in planning sessions and contribute CPS/operations offerings to support key initiatives at country/segment level

Be accountable for CPS offerings that are aligned to country/segment business priorities and do periodic reviews of performance metrics for such offerings with country/segment leadership team. Also educate/communicate sales/country leaders about the productivity/opex impact to sales from CPS offerings through these performance reviews.

Be accountable for visibility on commit execution internally/externally and also driving proactive measures to mitigate risk to commit for country/segment

Be accountable for sensing/qualifying and sourcing deals for big deal management practice of CPS in accordance with the rules of engagement for deal management office

Evangelize new offers/commerce capabilities/operational architectures/policy changes being proposed by central teams across product, software, service and solution space with sales stakeholders and represent the voice of the country/segment back through CPS front door teams to the program owners (for e.g DSV, LSS initiatives, Project REWARD)

Identifies operational whitespaces/issues that require longer term / systemic fix and be accountable for prioritizing and driving to closure such issues by internally collaborating with other operations functions and CPS central capability teams

Drive global/regional initiatives for sales stakeholders (e.g. Icebreaker, BIE enforcement)

Drive engagement with finance/sales stakeholders to drive right quality of booking and compliance norms for the country and to drive revenue maximization for the company

 

Internal

Collaborate with peer practitioners of country/segment operations management practice to discover commonality of operations initiatives and to aggregate them into common themes

To drive prioritization of these initiatives with internal CPS capability teams and GSO owners to eventually garner support from the operations functional owners

To collaborate/share best practices with peer practitioners to drive exponential benefit from these initiatives

 

 

Experience:

 

Experience working with senior sales and cross-functional leaders and comfortable engaging in business conversations and then translating it into operational requirements/opportunities

Experience with Cisco’s Portfolio of Product, Software, Services and Solutions

Understanding of Cisco’s operational capabilities across CPS, supply chain and other capability teams and be able to explain the value prop of these different organizations to a senior sales leader

Knowledge of E2E operational processes across service categories/offerings and be able to deliver operations reviews drawing on insights across the performance indicators of these service offerings

Experience driving cross-functional and/or global initiatives

 

 

 

 

 

 

Who you’ll work with

 

The Customer Partner Services (CPS) pillar within Operations offers operational engagement / advisory services with customers, partners and Cisco sales, stakeholders across cisco’s commerce processes from quote to invoice for products/services and software business.

 

The Regional Operations team within the Customer and Partner Services (CPS) organization is seeking an exceptional individual to work directly with senior sales/channels and other cross-functional internal stakeholders to provide world class operations management and advisory services. These services will include

Commit management services involving ensuring visibility to CPS leadership and sales leadership around commit execution and proactive risk mitigation of impact to commit through deal readiness and other engagement

Engagement for sourcing strategic deals across product, service, software and solution offerings of cisco considered strategic to the business,

Performance management reviews of CPS services enabling key business priorities of country leadership team and providing feedback to service owning organizations to optimize the experience

Driving initiatives to address opportunities for improvement, unaddressed problems relevant to the country / segment in operational whitespace areas within the operations organization

Represent the voice of the country/segment in key program/capability/transformation rollouts and proactively address relevance/adoption issues

And last but not the least driving the actions with stakeholders to ensure that the quality of booking and other compliance norms for the country/segment are met and maximize revenue attainment for the country/segment

 

The COM or SOM (Country Operations Manager or Segment Operations Manager) will continuously engage with the country leader (both sales and channels), sales finance controller/leader for the country/segment and other members of sales leadership team like architecture leaders, SE leader, Marketing leader, COO in delivering the above mentioned services.

 


Who You Are

 

Education:

 

Requires BA/BS degree or equivalent plus 7+ years related experience (MBA preferred)

Project Management certification or experience a plus

Familiarity with DMAIC methodology is a plus (including having any kind of certification like green belt)

Relevant language proficiency

 

Qualifications and desired skills:

 

Data analytics skills with ability to translate data into business intelligence

Ability to translate Cisco/Partner priorities in a consultative manner to drive operational excellence

Solution minded to understand root cause and implement necessary changes

Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships within Cisco

Strong collaboration, influencing and facilitation skills. Proven ability to influence and lead outside of organization, across roles and functions with key decision makers

Demonstrated planning and leadership skills.

Enjoys working in a fast paced changing environment. Demonstrated, take-charge attitude, and able to demonstrate flexibility and resiliency.

Excellent communication skills at all levels of management -- presentation as well as personal, soft skills; advanced PowerPoint skills preferred and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

High level of proficiency with Excel preferred

Proven skills in all CLEAD.     

Ability to lead stakeholders through transformation and strong change management skills
