What You'll Do
You will ‘Think Like A CFO’ as a Credit Manager within the Cisco credit & risk organization by providing credit support and business intelligence that will be used to help enable customers to acquire Cisco solutions. You are an experienced professional with a keen analytical sense, yet an understanding of a balanced approach to doing business. You will conduct day-to-day due diligence in risk underwriting that aligns with risk-reward targets, while also meeting all compliance and reporting requirements. In addition to exercising your assigned credit authority, you will provide analysis, conclusions and recommendations to senior management as required. You will monitor and act on relevant metrics regarding your assigned portfolio and will advise on credit matters to influence strategies to help meet the needs of Cisco's diversified client base. You will act as a consultant to help shape new finance offerings in support of tomorrow’s initiatives such as Internet of Things, Cloud and SmartCities.

Who You'll Work With
Cisco’s Global Credit & Risk Management team oversees & manages the extension of credit on behalf of Cisco for over $45B in revenues via our Trade & Channel programs & $10B in term leases & loans via Cisco Capital that covers over 100 countries. We are looking for a dynamic individual to become a member of the Americas Credit Team who will be responsible for all credit related activities on an assigned portfolio of commercial and public sector customers as categorized by market segment and geographical territory. You will partner with the field sales organization, operations team, legal team, and others to provide support and guidance regarding loans, leases and other financial vehicles.

Your expertise will help shape the best approach to meeting our customers financing needs, while promoting and protecting Cisco.

You bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. You have experience in underwriting, portfolio review, financial statement analysis, negotiating transaction structures, and are able to make timely and prudent decisions. You can work autonomously, in a fast-paced environment, yet excel in communicating thoughtful decisions and advice to senior management, co-workers, customers and other stakeholders in a professional manner.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • 10+ years of credit analysis and portfolio management experience (in bank, leasing or captive environment)
  • Strong financial analysis skills, with knowledge of Risk Analyst, CreditEdge, SP Capital IQ or other comparable analytical tools
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present, organize and convey complex issues effectively with all stakeholders, including all levels of management, internal and external, on a consistent basis
  • Must be a self-starter, and be able to work independently, in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
  • Experience with U.S. Public Sector financing is highly desirable (i.e., quasi-governmental entities, state and local governments and federal financing)
  • Extremely positive attitude and team player
