Position Summary:

The Critical Care Tech is responsible for assisting with the basic implementation of supportive nursing care under the direction of an RN. This includes demonstrating competency in strong basic patient care skills, clerical/courier duties, stocking, transporting, performing EKG’s, phlebotomy, specific patient care duties and other department duties as requested. Primarily works Critical Care Setting but may be floated as needed treating all diversities. Actively demonstrates a passion for patient care while demonstrating service recovery if needed. Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
High school education or GED/equivalent
Completion of basic arrhythmia (i.e. ECCO training module) or monitor tech class within initial 90 days.
Completion of Essentials in IV training within initial 90 days
Completion of an approved EMT-I course, final year in approved nursing program leading to RN, LPN,
CNA course or documented training and experience as an armed services medic.-
Preferred: Current Florida EMT, EMT-P, LPN licensure.
ACLS within initial 90 days
