**Role Summary:**

At Pfizer, we have united our global analytics capabilities across R&D and commercial under one powerful new organization - Business Analytics (BA). By analyzing the rich data across the full drug development and marketing lifecycle, this team drives insights to action for some of the most critical business questions for the company. Ranging from which assets and new business ventures to invest in, to how we can communicate most effectively with our patients and healthcare professionals, to what are the industry and competitive signals we should look at in a changing health landscape, BA addresses key concerns as it serves as a compass and decision-support partner for the enterprise.

The Scaled Analytics team, a division within BA, is a center-led organization that delivers both central expertise counsel and self-service capabilities across Pfizer Commercial businesses, building and executing plans, priorities, infrastructure, and competencies that support analytic-driven insights for the business. The **Customer Analytics Center (CAC) Lead** is a leader in Scaled Analytics who provides global support in the areas of customer / digital analytics and channel optimization. In this capacity, the CAC Lead is responsible for

+ leading a talented team of ~3 analysts to provide decision support to Pfizer's global Biopharmaceutical Innovative and Essential Health Business units

+ developing customer / digital analytic methodologies, and for growing these capabilities across BA

+ leading collaborative programs with other BA teams and vendors working to identify best practices, and to develop a sustainable toolset for BA

+ influencing and informing Commercial leaders and other Pfizer stakeholders on key trends and recommended strategic actions for Pfizer

+ acting as a key member of the Scaled Analytics leadership team, and of the BA extended leadership team in shaping the future of BA.

**Role Responsibilities:**

Drive Customer / Digital Analytic Strategy in Business Analytics

+ Lead the design and development of complex analytical frameworks that analyze the impact of Pfizer's customer / digital investment programs across the globe.

+ Lead a team of talented analytic professionals who provide customer analytics expertise for enterprise customer initiatives sponsored by executive leadership team members.

+ In close partnership with Pfizer's Strategy organization (StratCO) and BA Vice Presidents, provide analytics thought leadership to global commercial leadership across Pfizer Essential Health and Pfizer Innovative Health business units.

+ Lead the evolution and improvement of enterprise customer analytics by leveraging emerging capabilities (e.g. machine learning, cognitive computing, deep learning) through close partnership with the VP of Analytic Innovation (a separate StratCo team).

+ Lead the design, development and deployment of scalable analytic tools and frameworks in support of developing BA capabilities in customer analytics.

+ Support and enable knowledge management standards, continuous improvement, and consistent service delivery across BA in conjunction with other leaders.

+ Proactively partner with the regional Scaled Analytics teams across Americas, EMEA and Asia in delivering thought leadership that develops customer / digital analytic skills for region/market needs, with potential for global scale.


+ Lead a team of ~3 colleagues, developing the group's capabilities, and hold the team accountable for delivering quality results with consistency.

+ Provide mentoring and development guidance to team members; ensuring effective leadership and development throughout the organization via mentoring and coaching.

+ Contribute to development and design of Scaled Analytics operating plan, and annual budget build.

+ Advanced post-baccalaureate degree in business, decision analysis, or medicine / science.


+ 5+ years experience leading and managing analytics teams; experience leading and achieving results through matrixed organizations.

+ 15+ years of strong multi-discipline analytics experience, with a preference for experience in the management consulting or digital analytics space across different industries.

+ Demonstrated ability to manage and grow talent, and to develop change agile teams.

+ Exceptional change and transformation leadership demonstrated by a background of thriving in change situations.

+ Strong collaborative skills and ability to maintain strong cross-functional and cross-team ties to influence colleagues outside direct reporting structure.

+ Experienced in budget management and resource allocation.

**Technical skills and competencies:**

+ Demonstrated strong strategic, conceptual and analytical thinking

+ Ability to lead and build relationships with senior leaders (including executive leadership), to quickly understand business strategies, to identify analytics needs and build effective solution options.

+ Exceptional communication skills: Can readily align interpersonal style with the individual needs of customers; can understand, translate, and distill the complex, technical findings of the team into clear commentary that enables senior leaders to comprehend the potential opportunities, costs, risks, issues, and returns, thereby facilitating effective decision-making.

+ Highly collaborative: Manages projects with, and through, others; shares responsibility and credit; develops self and others through teamwork; helps others take appropriate risks; communicates frequently with team members earning the respect and trust of the team; expert in working in global environment and across time zones

+ Strong project management skills: Clearly articulates scope and deliverables of projects; breaks complex initiatives into detailed component parts, and sequences actions appropriately; develops action plans and monitors progress independently

+ Demonstrated understanding and generation of insights in customer / digital analytics space, combined with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.

+ Proven ability to link insights, identify trends, proactively recognize future business needs, and connect them to current and future analytics.
