Description **ROLE SUMMARY**

The Business Technology Global Information Security (GIS) team delivers three core capabilities for Pfizer - Intrusion Detection & Analysis, Threat Intelligence, and Forensics. GIS secures Pfizer's most important information assets through world-class controls and protections. GIS enables Pfizer's business results by making security an enabler and not a roadblock. GIS strives to broaden the cyber-security ownership culture across the company through targeted awareness campaigns and empowering colleagues to be risk aware. GIS Cyber Threat Intelligence is responsible for understanding threats through intelligence collection and analysis to produce and communicate risks and implement countermeasures.



Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysts participate in the execution of intelligence driven incident response processes in defense of Computer Network Operation (CNO) on a daily basis. Additionally, Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysts also participate in cyber threat hunting, through systematic inspection of IT systems and logs for signs of prior compromise.



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Acquire threat intelligence and technical indicators from internal and external sources.

+ Research, analyze and apply knowledge of threats from open source and privately sourced information.

+ Integrate resulting intelligence into security tools and produce reports for business stakeholders within GIS and beyond.

+ Analyze security logs in conjunction with threat knowledge to identify patterns or anomalies.

+ Apply understanding of threats to implement and evaluate defenses and countermeasures to reduce associated risks.

+ Communicate intelligence about threats to support response, assessment and prioritization.

+ Participate in the execution of intelligence-based incident response processes.

+ Use, support and operate intelligence management applications and related security information systems.



QUALIFICATIONS



+ BS in Intelligence Analysis, Applied Intelligence, Cyber-Security, Computer Sciences, Information Security, Engineering, Sciences or related field.

+ Understanding of fundamental elements of information security such as operating systems, network protocols, and logging.

+ Familiarity with intelligence and cyber threat lifecycles;

+ Entry-level understanding of network protocols, traffic flow, system administration, defense-in-depth and common security elements.

+ Fundamental understanding of how to analyze security logs and information to identify patterns and anomalies;

+ Entry level knowledge of the Windows operating system, system utilities, admin functions

+ Ability to critically analyze and interpret data and information to draw analytical conclusions.

+ Conceptual familiarity of computer threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation

+ Ability to contribute to solutions of complex problems both individually and as part of a team

+ Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cyber security domain.

+ Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills are required as well as organizational, planning, and administrative abilities and the ability to coordinate multiple components or tasks within a project simultaneously.

+ The analyst must be able to work well with vendors, suppliers, law enforcement, government agencies and internal teams, including cross-unit and cross-divisional teams, and must be able to maintain poise and composure in difficult situations, with a professional attitude at all times.

+ Entry-level experience with computer operating systems, programming and/or scripting languages such as Windows, Linux, or C, Python, Java is desirable.
