Do you like to use your technical knowledge in combination with business expertise to solve problems in a fast-paced environment? If so, this may be the job for you. In this role, you will work with various business partners to implement and manage reporting solutions. You will accomplish this through enhancing existing reporting tools, performing data analysis to provide business insights and leading the implementation of data-based solutions. You will also develop the most efficient processes to ensure successful service delivery is achieved. You will do all of this while managing cost to serve requirements. A passion for business partner collaboration, solutioning, addressing challenges and complexity are essential skills. No two days are ever the same in this role and challenges are plentiful.
  • Works with business partners within Prudential Retirement to define business needs and implement reporting/data solutions
  • Acts as a liaison to the Project Management Organization and assumes the role of business lead
  • Takes a proactive approach to identify and propose strategy for report automation/enhancement
  • Researches reporting/data issues as they arise and develops short/long term solutions
  • Performs periodic reviews of outputs and recommends new solutions or new delivery mechanisms as well as when to sunset existing ones.
  • Ensures work meets accuracy, timeliness and performance based budgeting objectives
  • May establish and maintain relationships with internal and external vendors
  • Performs data analysis and delivers business-friendly outputs
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (as appropriate)
  • Helps determines when ad-hoc requests should be considered as permanent reporting solutions; integrates these into service level agreements.


  • Bachelor's degree (An equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered).
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services experience
  • Data governance/data management experience a plus
  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Possesses strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence
  • Familiar with writing Business Requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Office user 
  • SQL/Impala knowledge a plus
  • Can work effectively with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to learn data structures
  • Can articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Superior problem solving abilities; applies good judgment
