Description:

The Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Associate Specialist is new within the Information Security Group (ISG) and PepsiCo. ISG is implementing a global Data Protection strategy in order to ensure the protection of PepsiCo's sensitive and proprietary data. A tenet of this program is the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program, which will provide detection and enforcement of the PepsiCo strategy. The DLP solution will monitor, identify and protect electronic data as it moves through our organization. The DLP solution will continue implementation and operation in 2017 but will need to be supported and maintained ongoing post implementation.

Following are key role expectations:

  • Deliver DLP implementation project including full deliverables including requirements, design, testing, pilot and global implementation
  • Become the technical SME on the DLP solution
  • Develop incident response workflow for DLP incidents as raised through DLP tool
  • Define policy/rules for the DLP solution and refine them as DLP strategy matures
  • Analyze reports from DLP tool and provide metrics to management
  • Document solutions and help documents as needed for future DLP Analysis team

Detailed responsibilities for this role include:

A. Implement the Data Loss Prevention solution:

  • Own the relationship with the DLP solution vendor (Symantec)
  • Responsible for ensuring licenses procured are appropriate and maintained
  • Procure hardware and other infrastructure requirements for DLP Solution
  • Determine approach for deployment and operation of chosen solution focusing on highest risk data
  • Provide guidance to infrastructure team on server builds including OS versions, storage needs, and other technical requirements.
  • Work with EA to ensure project deliverables created including architecture diagrams, design documents, configuration documents.
  • Understand sector requirements and rules for implementing a DLP solution. Adhere to local policies and laws to ensure data movement is appropriate.
  • Define incident response workflow for DLP positive hits
  • Develop metrics for measuring effectiveness of the DLP solution


B. Ongoing analysis of DLP Solution output:

  • Provide guidance on long-term support needs for DLP solution
  • Train additional team members on DLP Solution to ensure depth of knowledge within PepsiCo
  • Partner with ISG Engineering in turnover of infrastructure maintenance
  • Monitor output of DLP solution and execute against incident response workflow


C. Other responsibilities include:

  • Participate in Transformation project status meetings
  • Represent ISG in external security/cyber professional sharing and best practice groups
  • Continue to look for opportunities to leverage the global team structure to ensure adoption and appropriate response to DLP solution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Advanced degree in IT or Cybersecurity field
  • CISSP or CISM within 1 year of hire
  • 5-6 years' with following experiences: Symantec DLP solution implementation or maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Self-starter who demonstrates leadership skills and takes initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across multiple organizations, sectors and teams
