Position Description

As a Data Management and Analytics Senior, you are responsible to work within a team to manage and manipulate primarily structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting analysis to distinguish patterns and recognize trends, performing normalization operations and assuring data quality. 
 
Roles in this function consults with stakeholders across operations to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids and business case analysis to support high exposure dashboards creating insight and measurements for continued efficiencies and business improvements.  This role will typically use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data
 
If you are located in CT, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Part of a team <8 FTE & Support a COE model of $20M
  • Deliver actionable insights to business partners to drive business results
  • Achieve clearly defined objectives, training, skill development  and communication to ensure high quality & NPS services to all customers
  • Development, maintenance and support of customized databases and enterprise data warehouses. Activities include consulting with stakeholders  to identify reporting needs and design and implement solutions
  • Serves as a consultant to departments in the process of strategic planning, operational analysis, business design, solution implementation and project management as it relates to assigned projects
  • Manages effective communication across the company regarding the status of projects
  • Maintains up to date with new technology, which is appropriate and capable of supporting the strategic initiatives of the organization
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+  years of experience working within an Analytics team (Healthcare experience a plus)
  • 2+ years in data visualization tools such as Tableau & SSRS
  • Understanding  of  Agile philosophy / SCRUM methods
  • Requires in depth knowledge and experience in the capability to tell a story through analytics and visuals
  • Exceptional communication and team work, ability to drive results through team of team’s partnerships
  • Relationship management experience
  • Independently solves problems and challenges the status quoi
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Related experience in a healthcare operating environment
  • Knowledge of data preparation / advanced analytics tools such as Alteryx
  • Technically savvy, Knowledge and use of a relational database management systems such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, Informatica  & ETL tools like SQL SSIS
  • Knowledge and use of web-based application design strategies
  • Knowledge of multiple complex data stores and data warehouses integrations
  • Ability to articulate level of experience across; analytical thinking, effective communication, efficiency opportunities, driving results and leading change, delivering actionable value to our business partners
