What You'll Do
* Drive analytics strategy for a team of data scientists focused on enabling data-driven business decisions
* Develop a deep understanding of our focus areas within the business, the strategic goals of our stakeholders, and their available data
* Define ways in which effective use of data and analytics can help our stakeholders meet their strategic objectives
* Understand the deliverables across the team and be able to connect the dots between different projects to see the big picture
* Implement new ways of measuring success within the business (metrics and KPIs)
* Lead analytics projects
* Conduct code/model reviews and working sessions with members of the team to ensure integrity of deliverables and accuracy of results
* Coach and mentor other data scientists, data analysts, and BI specialists

Who You'll Work With
The Accelerated Insights team is responsible for helping our internal stakeholders within Cisco Services get the insights they need from their data to meet strategic objectives and drive growth by clarifying the role data science and data engineering can play in answering their business questions, using data science and data engineering to enable data-driven business decisions, and advising on metrics and KPIs to track success of those decisions over time.

* You stay up to date on the latest techniques and technologies in the data science space
* You are an expert in analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with a variety of tools.
* You are comfortable accessing and mining data, both big and small, from a variety of sources, from unstructured data to relational databases and HDFS
* You have a deep understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques, and recommendation and optimization algorithms.
* You are skilled in visualization best practices, know when to use which types of graphs, and how to best use visualization to tell the story
* You are comfortable working with a global team and attending meetings both in person and virtually

Our Minimum Requirements for this role are
* 3 Years' experience in data science or analytics for a business enterprise
* Experience with SQL, Python, or Scala
* Experience using statistical analysis environments such as R, MATLAB, SPSS or SAS.
* Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science.
* Preferred - Master's Degree in applied statistics, analytics or a related field
