What You'll Do

We have an exciting Product Sales Specialist role responsible for positioning and selling Data Center technologies within our Service Providers Gaming vertical!  Do you want to be part of Cisco's most gifted, diverse and specialized sales team? In this role, you will use your entrepreneurial mind-set to work with some of our biggest customers in the Gaming industry! You will be able to bring new products and services to market. As Cisco continues to make new investments, this role will work hand in hand with our business unit and corporate leads to help define new markets and business models to create new services and solutions.

In this position, you will be facilitating the success of Cisco account teams in selling specific data center products and technologies related to your area of expertise, with measurable sales objectives. This is a specialist position on the US and Canada Data Center team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a business plan to meet and exceed assigned quota. A successful Cisco PSS will work with Account Managers, Systems Engineers, Technical Leaders and Sales Managers to plan sales strategies, develop proposals, deliver customer presentations/demos, and close the business. Technical selling skills a must (Load Balancing, SSL, Applications, Servers, Storage, Networking L2-L7.)

Cisco’s Gaming Region team works with the leading online, mobile, PC and console-based game developers running the industry's most cutting-edge technologies. You have a unique opportunity to join this impactful sales team and drive adaptation of some of the most innovative technology in the world- Next Generation IP Networks, Compute, Video, Cloud and Virtualization! In this role, you will collaborate with our strong account management, pre-sales engineering and product teams. You will have direct customer contact and will use your strong sales skills and technical knowledge to create presentations, lead customer discussions, and pull resources from across Cisco to advance the sales process.  

Who You Are

You have experience managing large and demanding accounts. You have technical sales experience with NGN products, an understanding of Cisco’s Analytics strategy and an understanding of industry efforts in SDN, NFV, Automation/Orchestration and Open Source technologies. You are comfortable managing VP and CXO relationships and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to solve business challenges. You are able to think outside of the box to overcome objections. You are creative and self-motivated.

Minimum Requirements

·       Minimum five to seven years’ experience in data center, server and/or application networking industries

·       Experience with large strategic accounts, building and developing sales relationships with decision makers while managing a long and complex sales cycle

·       Proven track record managing and winning major opportunities, with the ability to work unsupervised; ability to interact as a value-added team member

·       Aggressive self-starter, ability to work independently in multi-level selling, comfortable influencing CxO, IT Managers, Purchasing, etc.

·       Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with a variety of influence styles to interact and manage cross-functional teams to solve customer business challenges and drive results

·       Good listening and strong presentation skills

·       Knowledge of Data Center Architectures and Services incorporating application networking, servers, storage, and datacenter switching technologies

·       Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and multiple levels of the organizations (account managers, technical leaders, Partners, Channels, etc.)

·       Must work well in teams, understand Cisco's engagement model and be able to create a win-win environment for key technology partners

·       Passion for driving strategies; a strong personality with demonstrated leadership skills working in a complex matrix organization; a strong presence and credibility established with the client base and internally

·       Previous experience or familiarity with online/mobile/PC game developers is preferred

·       Ability to travel inside the region required.
