Primary Responsibilities:

  • Experience supporting large scale, massively concurrent distributed Database systems - 27 Terabyte, 1100 TPS (Transactions Per Second)
  • As part of this team, the candidate is required to work with different functional and Technical groups to provide guidance on current and future state of the Oracle Database / Technology Platform
  • This individual will lead architectural requirements, design and development
  • Will be responsible for management of DBA team as well as being hands on technically capable
  • The candidate should have in - depth knowledge of Oracle Databases, RAC, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Encryption, Redaction, Masking, Cloning, Performance Tuning/Monitoring, Optimize Resource allocation for Databases and Applications, Backup and DR Strategy
  • Manage a growing DBA team supporting Oracle and SQL Server Databases
  • Comfortable working successfully in an large fast - paced environment with a high volume of transactions
  • Collaborate with functional business leads, IT leads and providing periodic updates of Database Platforms
  • Be involved in the review and evangelism of new tools and technologies
  • Analyze, test, and implement physical database design: including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, and operational guidelines
  • Audits the current environments, provides capacity planning and best practices for the future production/development/test environments, which may include establishing new standards and procedures
  • Ensures data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements for physical database are met through formulations and monitoring of policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency through innovation and integration
  • Prioritization of work delegated to the team
  • Manage the team with a commitment to operational excellence
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop mutually beneficial solutions
  • Review change control, management of change control execution, documentation
