The Role:


The Design Operations Lead will be responsible for ensuring leadership alignment on the Spark App UX Design team, reporting directly into the UX Director. The candidate will be primarily responsible to creating a strong cadence of accountability for all goals and initiatives, scheduling, tracking and holding owners accountable for success while removing barriers as necessary.




·     Act as a representative of the UX Director, inclusive of proxy decision making and articulation of strategy for the various product offerings.

·     Review and improve internal processes as necessary

·     Collaborate with the Design Managers and individual team members within the design team, to actively exchange information, decisions and conduct interlock sessions to ensure dependencies and overlaps are addressed

·     Manage and drive all Spark UX Design leadership meetings (weekly, monthly, quarterly), creating the agenda, coordinating content preparation, facilitating discussions and providing accountability for action items.

·     Partner with the Director of Operations to ensure all finance forecasting and planning are up to date and accurate.


Minimum Qualifications:

·     BA/BS in a technical, business or design related discipline

·     Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success leading large, complex projects or programs across teams or organizations, often juggling multiple priorities at the same time

·     Experience working with design teams, and an appreciation of design as a process

·     Strong grasp and experience managing large budgets

·     Have a thorough understanding of Business fundamentals

·     Familiarity with software product development

·     Strong leadership skills

·     Be high energy, highly motivated, and a go-getter

·     Possess an ability to work with multiple leadership styles, and be effective in ambiguous and unstructured situations

·     Work independently and be a quick learner, able to move fast and adapt to changing pace

·     Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationship at every level of the organization

·     Excellent facilitation skills to guide and direct objectives at meetings, planning sessions and off-sites
