Ready to show off your design skills to a larger audience? Imagine designing a product that will be used by associates and customers across the globe. At Walmart, you can have that opportunity! We design crucial enterprise applications for our 2.3 million associates globally, and we are looking for designers to join our team.



We need your user experience and user interface (UX/UI) expertise to design apps for a diverse set of employees, from merchants and pharmacists to truck drivers and store employees stocking shelves. You will help the design team to empathize with our associates. The right designer will be able to make an impact on our enterprise applications at scale through new product launches and incremental product improvements.



What you'll do:



Think visually:

\tTranslate concepts into customer flows, journey maps, and wireframes

\tDesign and deliver wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for multiple devices and interfaces

\tInspire and bring new ideas to the team through staying in the know of current design trends

\tDesign for big data and find solutions that to improve the daily lives of our associates

\tParticipate in design critiques by presenting your work, capturing feedback, and giving constructive feedback on your peers work

\tWork within WM established design guidelines and collaborate with team members to ensure consistency across designs

\tProvide mentorship to less experienced designers

\tUnderstand technical limitations

\tProduce handoff ready work for tech team, including producing redlines and capturing assets

\tWork with tech team to ensure designs are being implemented correctly and give feedback

\tPrepare and present work to team, partners, and leadership





Think conceptually:

\tApply a user-centered approach to requirements and interdependencies to develop engaging interfaces

\tMeet with key business and tech partners to collect requirements

\tCollaborate and brainstorm with team to understand, identify, and take on complex business requirements and user needs





Think empathetically:

\tConduct user research and facilitate interviews and testing to find end users issues and needs

\tAnalyze and interpret your research to inform your designs

+ Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Writing, or related field and 2 years experience in web design, user interface design, or related field OR 6 years experience in web design, user interface design, or related field.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:\t2 years experience delivering logical and engaging interfaces for Android, iOS and responsive web

\tExperience building efficient scalable systems in enterprise applications, eCommerce, SaaS or a related field

\tExpertise with industry tools such as Sketch, InVision and Zeplin to develop and communicate experiences

\tExperience working in an Agile development process

\tFamiliarity with HTML/CSS

\tExperience working with Material Design
