Job Location: New Jersey-Roseland

The selected candidate will work with the Global Business Technology Solutions (GBTS) Distributed Storage Team. Primary responsibilities would be the administration of the enterprise distributed storage infrastructures, with a focus on automation and self-service, via scripting and orchestration layers such as Service Now, for Enterprise Storage and Backup Infrastructure.

Other responsibilities would include Data Management in the Cloud (public, private, and Hybrid), level 2 support, troubleshooting, monitoring and alerting, performance tuning, and reporting.

The ideal candidate should have significant working experience in the required technical areas, be highly motivated and have excellent writing and communication skills.

Experience in the following areas is required:

• Enterprise automation and orchestration with technical experience in either development, operations, or full-stack implementations

• Scripting/automation skills: PowerShell (Strong Plus)/Python/UNIX shell/Perl/Ruby/C# or other

• Restful APIs

• Familiar with core suite of AWS Services related to DevOps

• Experience with systems and IT operations

• Strong understanding of Windows Security (Active Directory/NTFS)

• Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders

Experience in the following areas will be a plus:

• DevOps experience

• Enterprise Storage (SAN/NAS/Object)

• Converged Systems

• Backup Technology (Netbackup, Tape Libraries, Disk backup appliances, etc)

• Windows and/or UNIX Operating Systems Administration

• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools

• Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment

• Data management skills

• A strong focus on business outcomes

Additional job requirements include:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work overtime as required

• Provide 7x24 on-call support when required

• Strong Office Applications technical skills – MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project

• Produce technical documentation including operations run books, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
