This is an exciting time to join the Mobility Core Business Unit (MCBU) release engineering team as we embrace Devops practices, virtualized products and cloud technologies.  

What You’ll do:

 As part of a global release engineering team, you will help unify the tools and development infrastructure for several mobility product codebases.

Your focus in this role will be to help us provide a Continuous Integration / Delivery model for our customers. You will drive the creation of our externally-facing repository for CD images. You’ll create the tools to automatically deliver images once they pass internal tests and integrate these tools with the rest of our release engineering infrastructure

In addition to driving implementation of the CI/CD model, you will also be a primary release engineering point of contact for MCBU’s Bangalore development center and will work closely with the development teams at that site.


Develop tools to help support DevOps and RelOps functions within MCBU. Primary point-of-contact for over 100 local developers in Bangalore. Keep the build and release infrastructure running smoothly. Debug and fix issues in the development, build and release infrastructure. Document processes and policies.

Who You’ll Work with:

You’ll be a member of a global release engineering team with colleagues in the United States and other locations in India.

Minimum Qualifications:

·     8+ years’ experience as a build / release engineer. Must have a solid grasp of release engineering principles.

·     Solid understanding of source code control systems, branching, merging, releases, etc.

·     Previous experience implementing CI/CD pipelines

·     Thorough understanding of Docker, Artifactory, Dockerhub, Kubernetes, etc.

·     Expertise in most, if not all of the following: Perl, Git, Jenkins, GNU Make, SQL, RHEL.

·     Strong programming/scripting skills.

·     Ability to analyze a problem with input from stakeholders and teammates, then propose and implement a solid, efficient solution that works within the overall development infrastructure.

Desired Skills:

·     Previous experience supporting a large, complex code base for hundreds of developers is a definite plus.

·     Experience working in an Agile environment.

·     Expertise in the following areas is highly desirable: Python, JavaScript, jQuery, REST APIs, Gradle, Maven, VMware, Openstack, AWS (or other cloud services)
